Gulai Tempoyak Ikan Kembung

Last night my hubby bought durian at pasar mlm. Panas satu bdn mkn durian...but we're not that happy with the quality of the durian. One of them 'busuk' & the other one not so sweet (tawar jer). So that one i kept in the freezer to make tempoyak. My hubby doesn't eat tempoyak, so cukup la tempoyak from sebiji durian. After this i can eat it with budu.
Erm, i'm thinking of make use my tempoyak today. Actually my mom never cook any dish using tempoyak except eating it with budu (biasa la org ganu), so i've no idea how to cook tempoyak with anything else. I've senn people cook tempoyak with ikan patin but i'm not a fan of ikan patin (too smelly). & i've seen people cook tempoyak with pucuk ubi but no pucuk ubi in the freezer. But i managed to find one recipe i thought ez & the most important is i'll eat the fish; tempoyak ikan kembung (i would rather called it ikan kembung durian coz' the tempoyak is still new & i can still smell the fresh durian...hehehe). Luckily it turns very good.

Gulai Tempoyak Ikan Kembung

1 kg ikan kembung (dipotong dua)
1 ikat taugeh kasar
1 cawan tempoyak
1 batang serai
10 biji cili padi
Serbuk kunyit

Cara memasak:
1. Masukkan ikan yang telah dicuci ke dalam periuk bersama cili padi yang telah dikisar dan serai yang telah dititik.
2. Tempoyak dibancuh dengan sedikit air supaya tidak terlalu pekat.
3. Masukkan serbuk kunyit dan garam
4. Apabila mendidih, masukkan taugeh. Sedia untuk dihidang.

Ikan Kembung Singgang Tempoyak
Kiriman: linn

5 ekor ikan kembung sederhana besar(potong 2)
4 sudu besar tempoyak
2 ulas bawang putih (ditumbuk)
5 ulas bawang merah (ditumbuk0
2 cm lengkuas (dipotong nipis)
2 keping asam keping
3 cm kunyit hidup @ serbuk
2 cawan air
garam secukup rasa dan
bahan perasa (jika suka)

1) masukkan semua bahan kecuali ikan
2)bila bahan tadi mula mendidih masukkan ikan yang telah dipotong


600 g ikan mackerel (atau apa-apa ikan yg digemari)
4 sudu besar tempoyak
10 tangkai cili api }ditumbuk
2 cm kunyit hidup }ditumbuk
1 kuntum bunga kantan } dibelah
garam secukup rasa
setangkai daun kesom
1- 2 keping asam keping
2 1/2 cawan air

Cara membuat:
1. Ikan dibersihkan dan di toskan.
2. Masukkan air, cili api dan kunyit ke dalam periuk
3. Kemudian masukkan ikan dan tempoyak.
4. Renihkan. Masukkan daun kesom, bunga kantan dan asam keping.
5. Rasakan garam secukupnya, bila ikan masak bolehlah diangkat
