Sweet & Sour Chicken

Nothing special today.I had a lot of work in the office.I've to prepare 8 copies of updated company profile for main company & its subsidiary ASAP.A lot of things to revise & update.A lot of things to photocopy, print & retype.Gosh,i'm so bz until i forgot i haven't had my lunch.When we are so bz,we tend to forget almost other things including eating & as soon as we finish our job,then we can hear our stomach growls.
By 7pm, i left the office with my table like a war zone.Luckily i've my own room,so other people can't see the mess.As usual,the last person the leave.At first i thought of buying burger sold in front of my office.Then i guess,its better i go back home & have something healthy & satiated instead.
On the way back home,i stop at the mini market & bought some chicken.Easy & fast to cook.Thinking of what to cook,finally i decided to cook 'ayam masam manis' using this recipe by Kak Liza.

AYAM MASAM MANIS


Bahan
500gm ayam [potong kecil dan bersihkan]
1 s/k kunyit
1 s/k garam
5 s/b tomato sos
3 s/b cili sos
1 s/k gula
1/2 cawan air
1 biji tomato [potong baji]
sedikit kacang peas
minyak untuk goreng ayam

Bahan mayang:
3 ulas bawang merah
3 ulas bawang putih
2 cm halia
3 biji cili merah
3 biji cili hijau

Bahan hiasan:
daun sup dan daun bawang [potong pendek]

Cara:
1. Gaulkan ayam dgn garam & kunyit.
2. Panaskan minyak dan gorengkan sehingga masak [jangan garing..nanti ayam keras]
3. Angkatkan ayam dan ketepikan.Tinggalkan sedikit minyak untuk menumis bahan mayang.
4. Panaskan minyak dan tumiskan bahan mayang sehingga wangi.
5. Masukkan air,tomato sos,cili sos,kacang peas,tomato buah dan gula.Biarkan sehingga mendideh.
6. Masukkan ayam dan renehkan sebentar.
7. Masukkan potongan daun sup dan daun bawang.
8. Angkat dan hidangkan.


AYAM MASAM MANIS

Bahan
2 keping isi ayam [bahagian dada] [hiris bipis]
3 s/b sos cili
3 s/b sos tomato
3 s/b minyak
1 s/k gula
garam [jika perlu]
1 pokok daun bawang [hiris pendek]

Bahan Hiris
1 labu bawang besar
2 ulas bawang putih
3 cm halia
3 tangkai cili merah

Cara
1. Ayam dibersihkan dan gaulkan dengan sedikit garam.
2. Panaskan mnyak dan gorengkan ayam sehingga masak.
3. Masukkan bahan hirs dan kacau rata.
4. Masukkan sos tomato dan sos cili. Masukkan gula. Kacau rata.
5. Masukkan daun bawang dan kacau rata.
6. Hidangkan dengan roti atau nasi putih.

Ayam Masak Masam-Manis

Bahan-Bahan:
1 ekor ayam (dipotong 10 dan rebus)
2 sm halia muda (dicincang)
½ cawan sos cili
2 camca besar gula putih
3 tangkai cili merah
½ cawan kacang peas
3 kuntum bunga lawang
2 ¼ minyak masak
1 tangkai daun pudina
2 labu bawang besar (dihiris)
5 ulas bawang putih (dicincang)
½ cawan sos tomato
Garam secukup rasa
2 biji tomato (dipotong bulat)
4 biji buah pelaga
2 batang kulit kayu manis
1 ½ camca besar serbuk kunyit

Cara:
Panaskan minyak sapi, masukkan bawang, cili merah, tomato dan daun pudina, tumis hingga separuh masak. Masukkan buah pelaga, kayu manis dan bunga lawang. Kemudian masukkan sos cili, sos tomato, halia, bawang putih, garam dan gula. Biarkan hingga naik minyak, masukkab ayam yang telah direbus tadi. Masak dengan api perlahan selama 5 minit. Taburkan kacang peas, daun pudina dan daun bawang.
